Forwarded to, by brother Biodun.
The 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication Training at No 12 MCC Road Church of Christ Aba, Abia State was successfully conducted with participants drawn from two emerging congregations within the Aba axis. The training focused on equipping brethren with practical tools for disciple-making and leadership multiplication.
A total of 75 members attended the three-day training, out of which 55 participants completed the full training and were certified. Attendance and participation were encouraging, with a high level of commitment demonstrated throughout the sessions.
DAY 1
The training commenced with a Intro Lesson and a detailed exposition of Matthew 28:18–20, laying the biblical foundation for disciple-making. This was followed by a comprehensive overview of the 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication Model, highlighting its three core characteristics, by Chidi Chibunna.
1. Big Vision
2. Clear Path
3. Simple Tools
Each characteristic was further broken down into practical components, including:
• Global Vision
• Brutal Facts
• Personal Vision
• The Empty, Seeded, Growing, and Harvest Fields
• Leadership Development and Multiplication
The facilitators also introduced the 12 Simple Tools that support the model. The day concluded with an extensive and interactive discussion on the Relational Map and The Person/House of Peace, with participants actively contributing and asking insightful questions.
DAY 2
Day Two began with the 15-Second Testimony, setting the tone for participatory learning in the Seeded Field by Dr Chinwendu Onyenma. Additional tools within the 4 Fields model were taught, with facilitators encouraging hands-on involvement from participants.
Group interactions were lively, and participants demonstrated growing understanding and confidence in applying the tools. The session ended on a high note, as many expressed excitement and renewed passion for disciple-making using the model.
DAY 3
The final day was particularly engaging. as critical analysis of the 5 Levels of leadership and MAWL principles was dissected during the worship section by Bro Usim Solomon, with more than 300 members in attendance.
Although there were no external visitors during the training period and therefore no immediate conversions recorded, the training concluded successfully. Participants expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity and showed strong resolve to intentionally train disciples who will, in turn, make other disciples.
Conclusion
The three-day training recorded a total attendance of 75 participants. Despite the relatively modest number, the level of zeal, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn was remarkable. Participants showed readiness to put the principles and tools into practice.
With continued encouragement, mentoring, and follow-up, the trained brethren are well-positioned to advance discipleship multiplication within their congregations and beyond.
