KENYA GOSPEL CHARIOT MISSIONS OUTREACH IN OYUGIS WEST CHURCHES OF CHRIST
Reported by Brother Opondo.
We thank God for His unfailing care, abundant blessings, and sustaining grace that were clearly witnessed during the joint mission gathering between Kenya Gospel Chariot Missions and Kipingi Church of Christ, held at Kipingi. This occasion brought together the Oyugis West Churches of Christ Cluster in a spirit of unity, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the Lord’s work.
The gathering served as a moment of celebration and reflection—acknowledging God’s faithfulness upon individual Christians, families, and congregations across the cluster. Brethren came together not only to worship but also to be encouraged through sound biblical teaching that strengthened faith and sharpened understanding of God’s mission.
We are deeply grateful to the speakers who faithfully handled the Word of God, rightly dividing the Gospel and presenting biblical truths with clarity, conviction, and practical application. The lessons shared reminded the church of God’s expectations, promises, and grace toward His people.
The church was reminded that giving originates with God Himself and is evident in both the Old and New Testaments. From God’s provision in the garden (Genesis 2:8) to His overflowing grace toward believers, it was emphasized that God sees beyond the amount we give to the heart and faith behind it. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and He supplies grace in abundance so that His people may abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).
Teaching centered on Jesus as the true Bread from heaven, essential for spiritual life and eternal sustenance. Through the words of Christ (John 6:53–58) and His institution of the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 26:26), believers were reminded that life, strength, and unity in the church flow from continual fellowship with Christ.
A strong call was made for believers and congregations to remain fruitful in the Lord’s work. Drawing from the parable of the barren fig tree (Luke 13:6–9), the church was urged to avoid spiritual inactivity and to value God’s patience as a second chance for repentance and service. The encouragement from Isaiah 38:1–6 highlighted that past faithfulness and good deeds matter before God and can shape future opportunities when we respond obediently.
This joint mission gathering reaffirmed the importance of unity among Churches of Christ, faithful stewardship, Christ-centered living, and active participation in God’s mission. We give glory to God for the encouragement received and pray that the lessons shared will bear lasting fruit in the lives of believers and in the growth of the church throughout Oyugis West and beyond.
May the Lord continue to strengthen His people, guide His servants, and prosper the work of His kingdom.
To God be the glory.
Blessings, Tom Opondo.
