W.A.L.K. AND GHANA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION REPORT FROM NORTHERN BENIN

*”Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”* (Matthew 28:19, NIV).
After almost 2 days of driving, we arrived safely at Cobly, Northwest Benin, in the evening of Monday, August 24. The team included 7 from Ghana and 4 from Togo , with Dr. George Akpabli in the lead.
We trained 9 preachers leading the 5 congregations in the Cobly area and the surrounding towns.
They had traveled far and near and arrived on Tuesday morning, so we started the Training late morning, going through a few tools before taking them to the communities around to practice what we had learned.
Dr. George Akpabli opened the training session with the 4 Fields Discipleship Overview. Charles and Philip followed by exploring the Entry Field with the Relational Map and Person/House of Peace (Luke 10:1-9). We took time to delve into how to prepare the ground/community before sowing the seed/gospel. We then entered the communities, dividing ourselves into 2 groups.
The rationale was that, since God had expanded His kingdom in Togo and Ghana with hundreds of newly planted churches and thousands of baptisms in each country, using the 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication tools, we thought of exploring Northern Benin and see what the Lord would do in terms of replicating same.
We normally train the local preachers and work together with them. So this is actually an exploratory trip. Yet, this is what the Lord has done with us after two days:

Total - 65
Three (3) new churches planted with sixty five (65) baptisms by the grace of God.
We used the morning of Thursday to continue with the training, guiding the participants on how to disciple the newly baptized and get them to bring their Family and Friends to Jesus as well. We also identified leaders among the newly baptized and brought them to be part of the training.
The participants were so excited as we allowed them to practice the tools and discover God’s word for themselves with the Sword Method of Bible Study.
We can see God leading us to come and work in Northern Benin too.
