UGANDA GOSPEL CHARIOT MISSIONS OUTREACH AND 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TRAINING AT IGAYAZA CHURCH OF CHRIST WAS SUCCESSFUL
Reported by brother Duncan.
We embarked on a mission trip to Igayaza Church of Christ in Kakumilo District, Bunyoro Region. Our journey began with a stop in Mityana Town, where we spent two days preparing our vehicle and tent. During this time, we engaged in door-to-door evangelism, sharing the gospel with the community.
One notable interaction was with an individual who questioned the validity of sprinkling as a form of baptism. We explained that the Greek word for baptism means "to dip," and he responded that he would consider our perspective.
Upon arriving at Igayaza Church of Christ, we were warmly welcomed by the congregation. The church has a membership of thirty, and we fellowshipped with approximately fifty people. Our teaching focused on the Sword Method, using Acts 8:26-40 as our text. The gospel was shared with an estimated three hundred people through our loudspeakers.
However, our journey was not without challenges. We faced an unexpected obstacle when we were arrested and charged sixty thousand shillings for overtaking. Additionally, the area is plagued by denominationalism, and many locals are hesitant to change their affiliations, leading to resistance from family and friends.
Despite these challenges, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve and share the gospel with the community.
Wow, this is really great and exciting work Brethren. Thank You Lord and thank you all involved.
