TANZANIA 4 FIELD DISCIPLESHIRP AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION Mission Update – Arusha & Beyond
Brother Isaac reported the following.
It has been another great privilege to serve alongside the Arusha Church of Christ for the past three days. We arrived in Arusha intending to rest and refresh, but God had greater plans for us.
We spent time in Olekerian center where the Arusha Church is prayerfully planning to plant a new congregation. On January 30th and 31st, we engaged the community through door-to-door evangelism, inviting hearts to come to Christ. This was followed by open-air preaching on both days, and what a joyful time it was! We rejoice that the seed of the Gospel has been sown in Olekerian, and we continue to pray to the Lord of the harvest to bring growth. The local church will faithfully follow up this work.
On Sunday, February 1st, 2026 (the Lord’s Day), we worshiped with the Arusha Church of Christ. We were honored to introduce the 4-Field training to the congregation. After an encouraging introduction by Mzee Francis, I had the opportunity to preach using the Sword Method, teaching from the Gospel of Mark about Jesus calming the storm.
The purpose was simple yet powerful: to help believers learn how to read and study the Bible for themselves and to encourage families to use the Sword in their homes. The response was very encouraging! The church loved how simple, practical, and discovery-based the method is. Together, they discovered truths about God, man, identified commands, found examples, and committed themselves to live out what they learned. Truly, we give God all the glory!
After the service, we began a 500 km journey to Tanga, where we will spend the next four days. From there, we will head toward the border to meet Brother Layman and Brother Robert.
God is truly at work! Please continue to pray for us as we conclude the Tanzania mission—that hearts will remain open, the seeds will bear fruit, and God’s name will be glorified in all things.
To Him be the glory!
