KENYA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLE MULTIPLICATION and GOSPEL CHARIOT MISSIONS continues in Ugunja Town. The Ugunja mission stands as a powerful testimony of what God can do when His people unite for His purpose. Through Gospel Chariot Missions (GCM) and the 4 Fields Disciple Multiplication program, the town of Ugunja witnessed days filled with evangelism, discipleship, restoration, and visible transformation of lives.
One of the greatest highlights of this mission is the joy of serving alongside the Rongo University Christian Students body. Their passion for soul-winning, openness to learning, and active participation in: door-to-door evangelism, open-air preaching, Discovery Bible Studies, and 4 Fields training sessions.
Our host congregation in Ugunja, under the leadership of Minister Vincent, received the team warmly and provided a strong spiritual and logistical base for the mission. Their cooperation made it possible for the outreach to run smoothly and bear lasting fruit.
Beyond the preaching and training, the real miracle of the mission was seen in people: broken homes that were restored, individuals who were reconciled, and new commitments made to Christ and His church. These beneficiaries are now choosing to walk in fellowship and grow as disciples, becoming part of the local congregation. This is the essence of the 4 Fields — not just decisions, but multiplying disciples and healthy churches.
The third day came with an unexpected challenge. In the middle of the night, while the team was asleep, thieves entered the church compound and stole 10 metal rods used for fastening the tent.
It was Gabriel who sensed that something was wrong. Upon inspection, he discovered the loss and raised the alarm.
Following the required procedure, the matter was reported to the police. While we do not anticipate recovery of the metal pegs, we trust God for provision to replace them and continue with the work.
We pray for security in every place the Lord sends us, and protection of mission teams. And above all, the Lord’s work must continue, and no challenge can stop what He has purposed.
Thank you and blessings,
Tom Opondo.
