KENYA GOSPEL CHARIOT MISSIONS
REPORTED BY BROTHER TOM OPONDO.
KENYA GOSPEL CHARIOT MISSIONS, and NET - JARAMOGI OGINGA ODINGA UNIVERSITY Christian students give all glory and honor to God for the encouraging progress of the Bobaracho Community Mission, which has now entered its second day. This week-long mission will continue until March 15, bringing the light of the gospel to the people of Bobaracho village. We began on March 7 and the Lord has been gracious to us.
This outreach is a joyful partnership between Kenya Gospel Chariot Missions and the NET – Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University Christian Students, demonstrating the beauty of campus ministry working hand in hand with the local church to advance the Kingdom of God. It is truly inspiring to work alongside young people who are passionate for Christ, willing to dedicate their time and energy to sharing the message of salvation.
Throughout the mission, several evangelistic activities are taking place within the community. These include open-air preaching in public spaces, house-to-house evangelism, and Sword Method Bible studies, which allow both believers and seekers to deeply engage with the Word of God. Through these efforts, the gospel is reaching homes, families, and individuals who are eager to hear and understand God’s message.
We thank God for the growing influence of campus ministry, as students continue to demonstrate commitment to discipleship and evangelism. Their zeal and courage remind us of the words of 1 Timothy 4:12, encouraging young believers not to let anyone despise their youth but to be examples in faith, love, and purity.
As the mission continues throughout the week, we humbly ask for prayers for protection and safety, especially for the equipment used during the outreach. During our last joint ministry with Rongo University students last month, we experienced a challenge for the first time when metal pegs for our tent were stolen. By God’s grace, we have since replaced the stolen items, and we remain grateful for His provision and care.
We trust that the Lord will continue to guide this mission, soften hearts in the community, and bring many souls to Christ. May this week at Bobaracho be a season of harvest, spiritual renewal, and strengthened faith for both the community and the young evangelists serving in the field. For sure, “the harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” – Matthew 9:37.
Please continue to pray for successful gospel meetings throughout the week, protection of the mission team and equipment, open hearts within the Bobaracho community, and spiritual growth among the university students serving in the mission.
May God bless His work in Bobaracho abundantly.
Peace and love,
Tom Opondo.
