GHANA GOSPEL CHARIOT TEAM REPORT FROM THE KWAHU RIDGE OF THE EASTERN REGION
GHANA GOSPEL CHARIOT TEAM REPORT FROM THE KWAHU RIDGE OF THE EASTERN REGION
Reported by Charles.
*”Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”* (Matthew 28:19a).
From April 10 to May 18, the Ghana Gospel Chariot team has been in the Kwahu enclave, working specifically at Domeabra, Nsuta, Akyiase, Esaese, and Saafi Communities.
There were about 1,800 souls in these communities who heard the gospel. These are Gold mining communities where many of the people are in Cohabitation situation. Some wanted to be baptized, but the preachers who lead the campaign failed to baptize them, impressing upon them to repent first.
However, God blessed our church planting initiative at the twin towns of Esaese and Saafi, a suburb of Nkwakaw in the Eastern Region. A man and his wife were baptized, joining 12 members who traveled to worship at other communities. The new church was started around these 14 members.
The Sunday service held on May 4 and 11, had 62 people in attendance, most of whom joined out of solidarity from other congregations.
Through the effort of the team and a sister congregation, 15 backsliders were also restored to their faith. This was a significant achievement, demonstrating God's love and redemption in the community.
Two preachers and other committed brothers had promised to continue to follow up with the new believers and provide discipleship support to help them grow in their faith. They also promised to follow up on those in Cohabitation who want to be baptized.
The Team has since joined the Gospel Share Missions team to work in the Asante Akyim area.
Thank God for all who are involved and the continuous expansion of the kingdom through the collective effort of the 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication across the globe .
